Motel One Stuttgart-Mitte

I gave it a shot

I spent three nights in a cozy room with a king-size bed. The location is fantastic, just a minute from the main station and city center. The staff were friendly, and the bathroom was superb. If you're after a budget-friendly stay with easy access to everything, this place fits the bill.

The location was magnificent for walking around a central square.

Rooms could be better sized!!! No in-room amenities like kettles or mini-fridges!!! Street noise disrupts sleep!!! Air conditioning not functioning properly!!! Room door design cumbersome!!! Heavy doors are inconvenient!!!

Hotel appears quite new with modern design fittings and furnishings. Room was comfortable. I stayed in single room but was a good size with queen bed small desk and small separate soft chair. Bedding was Egyptian cotton. There were no enclosed cupboards or drawer units; this is not really of any consequence for a short stay. There was a flat screen tv with many channels that all worked. There was no mini bar or coffee/ tea facilities. There was an additional charge for Breakfast buffet though this was of good standard with plenty of choice and servings were refreshed regularly. The WiFi ended up being no charge though was advertised with cost so this almost netted out the cost of the breakfast. Staff were generally quite busy but were always friendly and helpful (and also happy). Overall I would recommend for price and location (short walk from main station) - I think this compares much better than several other more expensive hotels that appear higher up the list when browsing the alternatives. Motel one is a chain covering other major cities across Germany and Austria; I intend to check out when I make another visit.

Stayed at motel one, stuttgart-mitte, and was shocked! The room was old and tired. I expected a kettle because how hard can it be? The bar was a disaster, understaffed and ignored. Almost would have left a good review, but just couldn't.

Its close proximity to the Stuttgart Hbf.

New structure, very clean, central location by the S-Bahn/Central Station. Breakast is at additional cost but it's worth having it.

I liked not having to check out. Saved time when I was leaving town. Staff was across the board extraordinarily pleasant and friendly. Some of the best service I've experienced in Germany! Decor and design Comfortable room/bed

Small things... No soap provided in bathrooms. Had to use the body wash/shampoo. Wifi should always be free, though the price wasn't as bad as other places I stayed on the same trip. Breakfast was a little so-so. Didn't like the coffee machines and the buffet options were pretty limited.

Very clean, nice bar downstairs and a great terrace. Excellent location (200 m from the main train station) if you have to catch a train or flight in the morning.

Tiny rooms, the barman at the bar downstairs wasn't very nice and polite though the rest of the staff were very helpful. All the guests were made to leave the terrace because some noisy company of business people was disturbing the guests in their rooms with the windows facing the terrace.
